Probate Litigation and Complex Trust and Estate Administration

Attorney Pamela Newkirk has over 30 years of experience helping clients navigate through difficult probate matters throughout New Hampshire

Despite the best efforts to plan for the passing of property upon death, families sometimes find themselves facing unexpected difficulties when dealing with the illness or death of a loved one. These difficulties may arise from changes in the law, legal impediments to the transfer of assets, family tensions or other circumstances.

Our goal is to provide considerate and skillful guidance to navigate a resolution of these issues by agreement or through the courts.

Attorney Newkirk has had the good fortune to work with many knowledgeable and experienced trust and estate attorneys throughout the years, some within her own firm and others from outside firms. She has also had the good fortune to work with many knowledgeable and experienced trial attorneys, and participated in several complex trials in the New Hampshire Probate Court.

Attorney Newkirk began practicing law in 1987 after graduating from Boston University School of Law. Since 1995, she has been practicing exclusively in the area of probate administration and litigation. In 2005, Attorney Newkirk established the Bedford, New Hampshire law firm of Barradale, O’Connell, Newkirk & Dwyer, P.A. with estate planning attorneys David Barradale, Colleen O’Connell and Maureen Dwyer. Several years after the retirement of Attorneys Barradale and Dwyer, on May 31, 2022, Barradale, O’Connell, Newkirk & Dwyer, P.A. closed and the estate planning attorneys moved the firm’s estate planning practice to Shaheen & Gordon. Attorney Newkirk continues her probate litigation practice in Bedford, New Hampshire, the same building Barradale, O’Connell, Newkirk & Dwyer was located in for 17 years.
